Cayman Islands League

The Cayman Islands League is the highest division in football in the Cayman Islands. It was founded in 1980 and is connected organizationally since 1992 at the FIFA CONCACAF continental federation. So far, no team has participated in the CONCACAF club competitions. In 2002, for the first time qualified a team of the Cayman Islands for the CFU Club Championship, Georgetown SC took part in this. Only in 2010 qualified with Elite SC again a team of the Cayman Islands, they could not participate in the tournament due to travel problems. For the CFU Club Championship 2011, the Bodden Town FC qualifies as kaimanischer starter.

Play eight teams in the league. Current title holder is the Scholars International FC.

The team that finished seventh at the end of the season, bears against the runner-up of the First Division, the second tier of the country, a qualification game for the eighth rises directly to the second division from.
