Cecil Reddie

Cecil Reddie ( born October 10, 1858 in London, † May 1932 ) was a British educator and founder of the country 's home Abbotsholme education in England.

He is the pioneer of Landerziehungsheime making it one of the education reformers. He studied chemistry, physics and mathematics at the University of Edinburgh and from 1882 at the University of Göttingen, where he graduated with a doctorate. For by lively school Reddies Herbartianism played a major role.
