Cecilia Pillado

Cecilia Verónica Pillado Calise (* 20th century in Mendoza, Argentina) is an Argentine actress, pianist and composer with Italian roots.

Life

Work as a musician

She completed her musical education at the University of Cuyo in Argentina with Juan Salomon with honors. As a fellow of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, she studied at the University of Arts Berlin at Laszlo Simon and Georg Sava and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Alfons Kontarsky.

They also occupied as a pianist master classes with Leon Fleisher, Maria Curcio and Paul Badura -Skoda. In jazz and improvisation, she was trained by Walter Norris. Courses in composition, she attended at Witold Szalonek.

She worked among other things as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Anhalt Philharmonic, the Orchestra di Padova and the Orchestra Regionale del Lazio Roma together. As a chamber musician she has performed with various ensembles such as the Ensemble Novecento Italian or the Philharmonic Wind Quintet Berlin.

Cecilia Pillado toured in the USA, South America, Europe and Asia.

In her recordings it combines the musical interpretations of works by Ariel Ramirez, Alberto Ginastera, Astor Piazzolla and Carlos Gustavino with their own compositions.

Work as an actress

Cecilia Pillado worked as an actress in Argentina and Germany in several feature films and television productions. In the series Good Times, Bad Times, she took a guest role in 2000. In addition, she has worked as a stage actress. Based on the character Annie Wilkes from the movie Misery, she played in 2009 in The founder of the Catholic fanatic psychopath Simonetta Paternostro.

She is also Italian citizen and works mainly in Germany. She lives (as of April 2012) in Berlin and Los Angeles.

On April 13, 2012 Pillado was in the last two episodes that were sent as a double episode to see in the telenovela Anna und die Liebe. She was the last supporting actor in the series.
