Cedar Grove is a small town ( with a status of " Town" ) in Franklin County in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Indiana. In 2010 Cedar Grove had 156 inhabitants.

Geography

The village is situated at the mouth of Big Cedar Creek in the Whitewater River in Highland Township. She has no significant water areas.

Neighboring villages are Mound Haven (4.8 km north-west ), Sharpstown (9.2 km east), New Trenton (7.6 km south-east ) and Saint Leon (11,9 km to the south ).

The nearest major cities are Louisville, Kentucky (184 km southwest), Indiana's capital Indianapolis (130 km north-west ), Fort Wayne (209 km north), Dayton, Ohio (102 km northeast) and Cincinnati ( 54.9 km southeast).

Traffic

U.S. Highway 52, which runs along the Whitewater River leads through the center of Cedar Grove. All other roads are minor roadways or within city roads.

Parallel to Highway 52 runs the railway Cincinnati Hagerstown of the former Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway, which belongs to the section between Cincinnati and Brookville to RailAmerica subsidiary Central Railroad of Indiana ( CIND ).

The nearest airport is Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport, located 62.3 km south east in Kentucky.
