Celestino Rosatelli

Celestino Rosatelli ( born April 8, 1885 in Belmonte in Sabina, † September 23, 1945 in Turin ) was an Italian aeronautical engineer.

Celestino Rosatelli was born in Belmonte in Sabina, near Rieti, the son of Bernardino Rosatelli and his wife Apollonia. The parents recognized his outstanding mathematical skills and were able to support his studies. He then studied in Rome Engineering Sciences, making 1910 its conclusion. He then developed in Turin aircraft for Fiat.

Celestino developed the most successful aircraft of its time, such as Fiat CR.42 and Fiat BR.20. But the biplane fighter aircraft Fiat Cr.1 was developed by him. The term CR are the initial letters of his name.
