Celia Fremlin

Celia Fremlin (pseudonym of Margaret Celia Goller ) ( born June 20, 1914 in Kingsbury, † 16 June 2009) was an English author.

Life and work

Celia Fremlin was the daughter of the doctor Heaver Fremlin and his wife Margaret and sister of the nuclear physicist John H. Fremlin (1913-1995); She attended Berkhamsted School for Girls, Hertfordshire and the Somerville College at Oxford University, where she studied classical philology and philosophy. Her first novel, The Hours Before Dawn (Eng. The hours before dawn ) was not published until 1958.
