Cenk Uygur

Cenk Uygur Kadir ( born March 21, 1970 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish-born American radio and Internet host and political activist. He became known as co-founder and main host of the web-based news - talk show The Young Turks Ana Kasparian with.

Life

Uygur was born in Turkey and grew up there until he was eight years old when his family moved to the U.S. and settled in New Jersey. Later he attended East Brunswick High School and studied management at the University of Pennsylvania and law at Columbia Law School. He then worked for some time for a New York law firm, but soon began to operate as a radio presenter and commentator on a local radio station in Miami. At this time he became friends with the presenter Ben Mankiewicz. After his mission had been deposed, Uygur sought work as a writer for television in Los Angeles.

In February 2002, he decided to start his own talk show and to send over a public access channel; he called it The Young Turks, a name he had previously used for your own projects.
