Černín (Znojmo District)

Czernin ( German Czernin, also Tschernin, Schirnin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 15 kilometers north of Znojmo and belongs to Okres Znojmo.

Geography

Czernin is located in the creek Jevisovicka pahorkatina ( Jaispitzer hills ) on the Jevišovka above the confluence of the Kroužský. To the west the Jevišovka is jammed in the dam Jevisovice.

Neighboring towns are Slatina in the north, Ratišovice in the northeast, Stupešice in the east, in the southeast Vevčice, Bojanovice the southwest, Jevisovice in the west and Střelice in the northwest.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1131 in a deed of the Church in Znojmo on a country hooves. As the owner of the village in 1255 and Bohuněk Ryšek were called by Czernin. The following possibilities Vladiken alternated and the property was dismembered. In the second half of the 13th century Abbess Elisabeth von Czernin donated their share of the newly founded Poor Clare Monastery in Znojmo. To finance the 1287 began construction of the monasteries of St.. Anthony and St.. Klara sold the Order in 1295 Czernin to Eliska, the wife of the Beneš of Wartenberg. In the second half of the 14th century acquired Boček of Kunštát piecewise the place and beat him to his reign Jevisovice.

1834 332 people lived in the village. Until the abolition of patrimonial regimes in 1848 Czernin was to rule Jevisovice belonging. On October 17, 1841 the church burned down, until in 1854 she was restored. In 1900, Czernin had 382 inhabitants.
