Cesare Nebbia

Cesare Nebbia (* 1536, † 1614) was an Italian painter and draftsman of the Roman Mannerism.

Creative period

Cesare Nebbia went with Girolamo Muziano in the doctrine, under whose guidance he worked on the decoration of the cathedral in Orvieto. He then worked in Orvieto and Rome in the service of the popes Gregory XIII. , Sixtus V and Clement VIII. His frescoes, paintings and drawings were made in the main, 1560-1610, a period of transition of the High Renaissance to the Baroque.
