Cetus Dwarf

The Cetus dwarf spheroidal Zwerggalxie is a galaxy in the constellation of the whale. It lies at a distance of about 2.46 million light- years away from our solar system and is one of the most isolated galaxies of the Local Group, a group of galaxies that includes our Milky Way.

History

The Cetus dwarf galaxy was discovered in 1999 by Alan Whiting, George Hau and Mike Irwin and identified as a member of the Local Group.

Properties

It has been, discovered 2000 levels no interstellar neutral hydrogen gas within the Cetus dwarf galaxy. All her only recently observed stars of this galaxy are red giants.
