Chaldean Catholic Metropolitan Archdiocese of Tehran

The archeparchy Tehran (Latin: Archieparchia Teheranensis Chaldaeorum ) is a facility located in Iran archeparchy the Chaldean Catholic Church with headquarters in Tehran.

History

The archeparchy Tehran was built in 1853 out of territory of the Archdiocese of Kirkuk as archeparchy Sehna. On March 16, 1971, the archeparchy Sehna was renamed by the Congregation for the Oriental Churches with the decree from Inde anno archeparchy in Tehran.
