Chalkeia

Chalkia (Greek Χάλκεια ( f sg ) ) was a Greek community in the prefecture of Aetolia - Acarnania, with 2,863 inhabitants. It was formed in 1994 from five rural communities and in 1997 expanded to two more. Greatest place was from 1997, the settlement Galatas, in which about one-third of the population lived. 2010, the municipality was merged with five other merged to Nafpaktia, where she has since formed a district.

The area of the former municipality is located on the National Road 5 between Messolonghi and Antirrio.
