Chamdo

A large village Qamdo ( Tib: chab mdo, Tibetan: ཆབ་མདོ་, Chamdo, Chinese昌都 镇; Pinyin: Changdu Zhen ) is the third largest city in Tibet Autonomous Region (after Lhasa and Shigatse ) and capital of the district of the same with 86 280 inhabitants ( 1999) and the governmental district of Qamdo.
