Champasak ( Lao ຈໍາ ປາ ສັກ ) is a town in the eponymous Lao province.

History

It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Wat Phou temple district of Champasak and the cultural landscape and has many temples and a church.

Traffic

Champasak is connected via ferry across the Mekong to the National Road 13 on the left side of the Mekong and thus to Pakse. The expansion of the dirt road on the right side to the Mekong Mekong bridge from Pakse is decided. From Champasak Wat Phou from being accessed by a paved road.
