Chancheng District

The Chancheng District (禅城 区) is a district of the prefecture-level city of Foshan in Guangdong Province, China. It has an area of 153.69 square kilometers and counts 580,000 inhabitants (2003 ). The municipality is the center and seat of government of Foshan.

Located in the Chancheng District Nanfeng Kiln ( Nanfeng guzao ,南风 古 灶) and the Ancestral Temple of Foshan ( Foshan Zumiao ,佛山 祖庙) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China.
