Nanhai District

Nanhai (南海 区) is a district of Foshan City in Guangdong Province, China. The independent city Nanhai was dissolved on 8 December 2002 and converted into the city Nanhai District. The greater community Nanzhuang (南庄镇) was spun off and integrated into the Chancheng District.

Geography

Nanhai is located in the bordering Guangzhou Foshan prefecture-level city and surrounds the center of the west, north and east. Nanhai has an area of 1,074 km ².
