Chappell Peak

Chappell Peak is a 1860 m high mountain in the southwest of the Enterprise Hills in West Antarctica. It lies at the northern end of Horseshoe Valley, about 6 kilometers south of the Schoeck Peak and a few kilometers southeast of the Guarcello Peak.

The mountain was mapped by site surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy as part of the acquisition of the Enterprise Hills in the years 1961-66. He was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names by Richard L. Chappell, who worked as a research assistant at the American Antarctic base Little America V in 1957.
