Charles-Auguste Questel

Charles -Auguste Questel ( born September 19, 1807 in Paris, † 1888 in Paris) was a French architect.

Life

Early Questel came to the École des Beaux -Arts (EBA ) in his hometown. There he was, among other disciple of Félix Duban. Through this support, Questel was successful debut in 1844 with some plants and reach the Prix de Rome (2nd place).

With the end of his training at the EBA was offered there on his own studio together with a teaching assignment. After the Franco-German war took him in 1871, the Académie des Beaux -Arts as a member on.

With over eighty years Questel died in Paris and found his final resting place. His studio was taken over and continued by Questels death of Jean -Louis Pascal.
