Charles Grandmougin

Charles Jean Grandmougin ( born January 17, 1850 in Vesoul, † April 29, 1930 ) was a French writer, poet and librettist.

Grandmougin is best known for his plays and his poems, which were set to music by French composers such as Georges Bizet and Gabriel Fauré. He had also written the libretti for operas by Jules Massenet (La Vierge ) and César Franck ( Hulda ).
