Charles Gustav of Baden-Durlach

Karl Gustav Prince of Baden -Durlach ( born September 27, 1648 Durlach, † October 24, 1703 on the Charles Castle in Durlach ) was a German general. He was the son of Frederick VI. , Margrave of Baden -Durlach, and Christine Magdalena of Pfalz- Zweibrücken - Kleeburg.

Within the Swabian kingdom circle he was the owner of the Evangelical circle Regiment of Foot (1673-1677) and from 1683 the Second District Regiment of Foot ( ev ). 1683 he served as General sergeant on foot at the same time commander in chief of the district troops. 1686 he was in the Swabian kingdom Generalfeldmarschallieutenant circle on foot, 1692 General Feldzeugmeister (infantry ), and Field Marshal in 1697.

Margrave Karl Gustav married on October 28, 1677 Anna Sofie von Braunschweig -Wolfenbüttel ( born October 29, 1659 † June 28, 1742 ), the daughter of the Duke Anton Ulrich of Brunswick- Wolfenbüttel. From this marriage the following children were born:
