Charles II of Albret

Charles II d' Albret (* 1407, † 1471 ) from the House of Albret was Sire d' Albret, Count of Dreux, Viscount de Seigneur d' Orval and Tartas. He was the son of the Constable Charles I d'Albret and Marie de Sully, and by his marriage with Anne d' Armagnac the son of Bernard VII of Armagnac, as well as Charles de Valois, duc d' Orléans.

Charles II d' Albret was a member of the Conseil royal of King Charles VII, who appointed him his deputy in Berry. He fought alongside Joan of Arc, and helped the Constable Arthur de Richemont ( who also was his son ) in the arrest of Pierre de Giacs, the lover of Queen Isabeau.

From its closed on October 28, 1417 marriage to Anne d' Armagnac he had seven children:
