Charles James McDonnell

Charles James McDonnell (* July 7, 1928 in Queens ) is a retired auxiliary bishop of Newark.

Life

Charles James McDonnell received on May 29, 1954, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 15 March 1994 as Auxiliary Bishop of Newark and Titular Bishop of Pocofeltus. The Archbishop of Newark, Theodore Edgar McCarrick, consecrated him on 12 May of the same year the bishop; Peter Leo Gerety were co-consecrators, Archbishop Emeritus of Newark, and Michael Angelo Saltarelli, Auxiliary Bishop of Newark.

On 21 May 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
