Charles Ssekyaaya

Charles Ssekyaaya (born 11 April 1994 Mulago ) is a Ugandan weightlifter.

Ssekyaaya was elected Uspa - weightlifter of the year in Uganda in 2011. In March 2012, he was awarded the Nile March / Uspa award due to a study conducted by journalists choice. The Nairobi discharged in March 2012 Africa Championships he won overall silver in weightlifting behind the Nigerians Fadodul Sola as well as gold and bronze in the disciplines of bumping and tearing.

Ssekyaaya was in the squad of the Ugandan team for the 2012 Summer Olympics, among other things, to which he was preparing for six months in the Olympic Solidarity Training Center in Colorado Springs. In London, he started in the class to 62 kg. There, he finished with 105 kg in the snatch ( 14th place ) and 130 kg in the put ( 13th place ) 13th place in the final standings. The 1.59 meter tall athletes brought in 2012 a competition weight of 61 kilos.
