Charles Stanton Ogle

Charles Stanton Ogle ( born June 5, 1865 in Steubenville, Ohio; † October 11, 1940 in Long Beach, California ) was an American actor. From 1908 to 1926, he appeared in about 300 films.

Life

Ogle was already an experienced stage actor - he made ​​his Broadway debut in 1905 - 1908 when he came to the Edison Studios in the Bronx where he started in films by Edwin S. Porter. In the 1910s, he also played several times under the direction of James Searle Dawley, including the monster in Frankenstein (1910). Until the 1920s, he was in demand as a character actor who frequently appeared in supporting roles.

Ogle died of arteriosclerosis and was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California, buried.
