Charles Z. Platt

Charles Zephaniah Platt ( * July 22, 1773, † unknown ) was an American politician ( Federalist Party). He represented Oneida County 1806-1807 in the New York State Assembly. Then he was from 1813 to 1817 Minister of Finance of New York.

Family

Charles Z. Platt was the son of Zephaniah Platt (1735-1807), an American lawyer and politician, and brother of Jonas Platt, a U.S. Representative. His nephew, Zephaniah Platt (1796-1871) Attorney General in Michigan and after the Civil War was for several years a district judge in South Carolina. On October 4, 1803 Charles Z. Platt Sarah Bleecker married in the Dutch Reformed Church in Albany (New York). The couple had six children together.
