Charlie McDonnell
Charlie McDonnell ( born October 1, 1990 in Bath, civic Charles Joseph McDonnell ) is a British video blogger and musician who was known by the video platform YouTube. He runs there with one of the most subscribed channels charlieissocoollike of the United Kingdom.

McDonnell began in April 2007, to publish their own videos on YouTube. After the video How to get featured on YouTube has been presented on the home page of the platform, he had already in June of 4400 subscribers. His breakthrough came with How to be English, in which he is a stereotypical British, which explains among other things the proper preparation of tea. Through this video, which generated more than 1.5 million views in a short time, the media became aware of McDonnell. So reported the BBC and the U.S. talk show The View.
As a result, McDonnell established as a video blogger who has been active in various collaborations and participated in conferences. Thus he spoke in 2008 at the Google Zeitgeist conference and was invited by the company to speak at Tech @ Google and Tomorrow's Web 2009.

Since April 2010, charlieissocoollike, with over 2.2 million subscribers (as of October 2013) the most subscribed YouTube channel in the United Kingdom, McDonnell was the first Briton to reach over one million subscribers. Overall, the videos were accessed over 260 million times, with over 8 million views is the music video Duet With Myself the most popular post. Currently, the British writer and actor Stephen Fry speaks the outro.
Music
In June 2009, Chameleon Circuit released, consisting of McDonnell, Alex Day, Liam Dryden and Chris Beattie also named her debut album. The songs of the band are based thematically on the television series Doctor Who. On 12 July 2011, finally succeeded in slightly different crew, the second album called Still Got Legs, which charts at rank 27 and in the iTunes rock album chart made it into the UK iTunes album at # 4.
2010 founded McDonnell and Alex Day, Tom Milsom and Ed " eddplant " Blann, all of which were already known as a musician on YouTube, the band Sons of Admirals. In June, they released as the first single the Cat Stevens Cover Here Comes My Baby, which placed itself at number 61 on the British charts. It reported, among others, The Sun, which also invited the band to a live session.
In December 2010, McDonnell also published with This Is Me is a first solo album with songs from his video blog.
