Charlotte Long

Charlotte Helen Long ( born October 9, 1965 in Devizes, † October 6, 1984 in Oxfordshire ) was a British actress.

Long was born as the youngest daughter of Margaret Frances Frazer and Richard Gerard Long, a British peer. She attended several schools in Bradford- on-Avon, before dedicating herself to acting.

Long played the role of "Alison" in the television productions Schoolgirl Chums and St. Ursula 's in Danger and the role of " Rosemary " in the film A parade of Hazzard in 1984. Her most famous role, however, was that of the " Eloise de Ricordeau " in the television series the Tripods. Here, she starred in three episodes of the first season, the daughter of a French nobleman.

Only three weeks after the completion of filming of The Tripods Long died as a result of a car accident. A truck was driving on the M4 Motorway in the halted on the hard shoulder vehicle, because the driver of the truck had to sneeze. While her passenger was wearing only minor injuries, Long died after three days of their injuries.
