Chart Pattana Party (2007)
The Chart Pattana Party ( Thai: พรรค ชาติ พัฒนา, RTGS: Phak Chat Phatthana, translated " Party for National Development " or " National Development Party") is a political party in Thailand.
It was founded in 1992 by former Prime Minister Chatichai Choonhavan. In the 1990s, she was one of the nation's four largest parties. Like most other Thai parties they consisted of several intra-party factions and wings. She had no fixed organizational structure and did not pursue a particular political ideology, but served the interests of the politicians who had joined in it. Frequently their deputies came over also to other parties. Their strongholds were in the northeast of Thailand ( Isan ). In 2005, she went on in the Thai Rak Thai Party. After its ban in 2007 it was revived, but could not win their previous significance. As a result of mergers with other parties they changed its name several times. History
Inception in 1992,
Officially, the Chart Pattana Party was formed by renaming founded in 1982 by General Arthit Kamlang -ek Thai People's Party. This was 1992, however, only an empty shell, as General Arthit and all major members had left.
