Chastain (Band)

Chastain is an American heavy metal band from Ohio, which was named after its founder and guitarist David T. Chastain.

History

The band was founded in Cincinnati in 1984. For the first line-up included the former Rude Girl vocalist Leather Leone, bassist and drummer Fred Coury Skimmerhorn Mike, who later played at Cinderella.

After initial problems with the debut album Mystery of Illusion, which was recorded in the same year, was followed by two albums Ruler of the Wasteland (1986) and The Seventh of Never (1987). On both albums is already Ken Mary heard, the successor to Fred Coury.

It was followed by the new bassist David Harbour on 1988's work Voice of the Cult, and For Those Who Dare from the year 1990, when again the drummer had to be replaced with John Luke Hebert, since it drew Ken Mary to Alice Cooper.

After some solo projects, the band 's founder appeared in 1995 Sick Society, and in 1997 in dementia, which was recorded with a new cast: Well Kate French sang, Kevin Kekes was on bass and Dennis Lesh, who had formerly played in Trouble, sat behind the drums.

Until the appearance of the 2004 album In on Outrage is heard again nothing from the band. Also this time had done something in the occupation: In addition to David Chastain and singer Kate French, and her husband Larry Howe and Dave Starr were now (both ex- Vicious Rumors ) on board.

2013 appears the new album " Surrender To No One" on the Leather Leon sings again.
