Château de Rambouillet

The Rambouillet castle stands in the same place Rambouillet, about 50 kilometers southwest of Paris in France. It was built in 1368 by Jean Bernier. Louis XVI. of France bought the castle in 1783 as a private residence.

It is since 1896 until today, the summer residence of the French President. With his name some important conferences are connected today. For example, met here in 1975, the first G6 summit. 1999 Château de Rambouillet location of the meeting of the parties to the conflict in Kosovo.
