Chen Fake
Chen Fake (* 1887, † 1957, Chinese陈 发 科/陈 发 科, Pinyin Chén fake, W.-G. Ch'en Fa - K'e ) 17th generation of the Chen family in Chenjiagou, Henan, China, one of the greatest masters of Chen - style internal martial art Taijiquan. Went to Beijing in 1928, where he lived until his death, by his teaching for the first time known to the pure Chen style to a wider audience made ( after Taijiquan was already known by Yang Luchan in Beijing).
Through his development of the two forms of the "old frame " by Chen Changxing Laojia the forms, now called Xinjia " New Frame " are known emerged.
Chen Fake was sickly as a child and sick. Nobody expected that from him, depending a great master would. This made him sad, and he decided that he would prove to be the heritage of his family worthy. So he killed himself an extremely hard exercise program and in time became the greatest fighters of his time and a shining example for the concept of Wude, the martial virtue. He was well known not only for its invincibility in numerous challenges, but also for its integrity and honor.
His son Chen Zhaoxu is the father of the current Grand Master and main representative of the Chen style Chen Xiaowang. Chen Zhaoxu itself was very early as very strong, was negligent in making music rather than to exercise, and so it happened that he once did not emerge victorious from an attack. He complained to his father Chen Fake, which was applied over its lost its track son and he clobbered that this supposedly flew on a three-meter high wall. Ashamed of this incident, Chen Zhaoxu took three years to complete intensive training in seclusion back. So he was able to defeat his challenger later in a rematch.
Chen Fakes other son, Chen Zhaokui, as well as his nephew Chen Zhaopi were great masters who particularly contributed to the spread of Chen- style in China. These two were also the principal teacher of the present Grand Master Chen Xiaowang.
