Chen Fake

Chen Fake (* 1887, † 1957, Chinese陈 发 科/陈 发 科, Pinyin Chén fake, W.-G. Ch'en Fa - K'e ) 17th generation of the Chen family in Chenjiagou, Henan, China, one of the greatest masters of Chen - style internal martial art Taijiquan. Went to Beijing in 1928, where he lived until his death, by his teaching for the first time known to the pure Chen style to a wider audience made ​​( after Taijiquan was already known by Yang Luchan in Beijing).

His son Chen Zhaoxu is the father of the current Grand Master and main representative of the Chen style Chen Xiaowang. Chen Zhaoxu itself was very early as very strong, was negligent in making music rather than to exercise, and so it happened that he once did not emerge victorious from an attack. He complained to his father Chen Fake, which was applied over its lost its track son and he clobbered that this supposedly flew on a three-meter high wall. Chen Fakes other son, Chen Zhaokui, as well as his nephew Chen Zhaopi were great masters who particularly contributed to the spread of Chen- style in China. These two were also the principal teacher of the present Grand Master Chen Xiaowang.
