Cheremosh River

The Cheremosh ( German also Czeremosch or Czeremosz, Ukrainian Черемош; Russian Черемош, Черемошель; Polish Czeremosz; romanian Ceremuş ) is a right tributary of the Prut River in western Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, and Chernivtsi Oblast.
The river is formed by the confluence of Chorny Cheremosh (left, "Black Cheremosh " ) and Bilyj Cheremosh (right, "White Cheremosh " ) in the village Usteriky and then flows in a northeasterly direction as a border river between the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast left side and the Chernivtsi Oblast right-hand side. He runs through the places Kuty Wyschnyzja and Waschkiwzi and finally joins up with the urban-type settlement Nepolokiwzi in the Prut.
The length of the river is 80 km, the entire catchment area of 2560 km ².
The Cheremosh is one of the historic border between Galicia and Bukovina, 1919-1939 formed the river, the border between Romania and Poland.
On the Chorny Cheremosh rafting trips are offered. The difficulty is 2-3.
