Chet Huntley
Chet Huntley ( born December 10, 1911 in Cardwell, Montana, † March 20, 1974 in Big Sky, Montana ) was an American journalist, newsreader and television presenter.
Life
Huntley attended Whitehall High School in Whitehall and the Montana State College in Bozeman, Montana. Huntley studied at the University of Washington. He began his professional career in Seattle at the radio station KIRO AM and later worked for radio stations in Spokane ( KHQ ) and Portland. Huntley moderated with David Brinkley 1956 to 1970 the TV show Huntley - Brinkley Report on NBC television. In 1970, he ended his career as a television presenter and opened the Big Sky Resort in Montana, Bozeman. In his first marriage Huntley was married to Tippy Stringer and his second wife, Ingrid Rolin.
