Chevelle

Chevelle is an American band from Grayslake, Illinois ( about 60 km north of Chicago). It was founded by the three brothers Pete, Sam and Joe Loeffler 1995. The style of the band is compared sometimes with groups such as A Perfect Circle, Filter, Helmet and Tool.

Band History

The group released their debut album in 1999 on the Christian label Squint Entertainment. Producer of the work was Steve Albini. The major label Epic Records took notice of the band; there appeared the following three albums.

Chevelle became known with the single release from the album The Red Wonder What's Next (2002), which was 26 weeks rotation on U.S. radio stations and came to number 56 of the American singles chart. Produced Wonder What's Next by GGGarth ( Rage Against the Machine, Mudvayne, Sick of It All, etc.), mixed by Andy Wallace (Nirvana, System of a Down, Linkin Park, Bad Religion etc.). The third album This Type of Thinking ( Could Do Us In) managed on the Billboard 200 made ​​it into the top 10.

The bassist Joe Loeffler in 2005 was thrown out of the band and replaced by a brother of the Loeffler brothers, Dean Bernardini. In this cast Vena Sera was recorded, which placed in the top 20 of the U.S. album charts.
