Chile men's national volleyball team

The Chilean national volleyball team of men is a selection of the best Chilean player, showing the Federación de Voleibol de Chile represented in international tournaments and international matches.

History

World cup

In their only previous participation in a volleyball World Cup Chile 1982 landed on the 23th Place.

Olympic games

A Chilean national volleyball team of men could never qualified for the Olympics.

South American Championship

The South America Volleyball Championship in 1956 and 1958, Chile was fifth, respectively. The same result, there were 1962 in their own country. Five years later, the Chileans won their first bronze medal. It was followed by three fourth places. 1975 gave it only the sixth rank in 1979 Chile was fourth again. 1981 as host and in 1983 won the bronze Chileans again. After two missed tournaments and two fifth places they repeated this success in 1993. During the next years, they were washed twice and fourth three times in sixth. After the fifth rank in 2005 found in the World Championships in 2007 for the third time in Chile and held the hosts reached the fourth place.
