Chim Chim Cher -ee is a song that Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman wrote for the film Mary Poppins. It was published in 1964 and interpreted in the film by Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews. The German version was sung by Monika Dahlberg and Harry Wüstenhagen. The Sherman Brothers won for its scale in the waltz - song cycle the 1965 Academy Award for Best Song. Robert B. and Richard M.
