Chingy
Chingy ( born March 9, 1980 in St. Louis, Missouri, actually Howard Bailey Junior) is an American rapper.
Chingy was born on March 9, 1980 in St. Louis. He grew up in one of the northern parts of the city and began rapping at eight years. He succeeded his passion for music and the school to combine, so that he finished high school with a good leaving certificate in 1998.
Soon after, he began to devote more and more of the music and took with his buddies from the Git It Boyz a single on the great fame reached in St. Louis. Shortly after the release of the single Chingy was discovered by the home to St. Louis label Fo Reel Entertainment, which already had the rapper Nelly brought out great. But the young musician fit the setting of the label not know why he soon left this again to make out in search of a better label.
Career
2003 Chingy managed the big breakthrough when he was taken from the label " Disturbing Tha Peace " which the rap star Ludacris had built, under contract. Shortly after the signing of the contract came his first single " Right Thurr " on the market and was a great success. Other singles from the first album Jackpot, which sold over 3 million copies worldwide, also made it into the American Top Ten. But the tide turned quickly, as Ludacris and Chingy got into a dispute over who should represent the music label. Only a year after his album was released, left Chingy " Disturbing Tha Peace " and started his own record company called Slot -A-Lot Records, which ran as a label with Columbia Records.
Published in 2004, the rap star his next album "Power Ballin ' ", but with much less success than his debut album. But Chingy did not get her down and took 2006 producer Jermaine Dupri on board, who had also produced hits for stars like Bow Wow and Janet Jackson. The first single from the new album was " Pullin ' Me Back ", worked at the Chingy with the singer and actor Tyrese Gibson. The album " Hood Star" from 2006 has sold over 300,000 copies to date. The 2006 also released single " Dem Jeans " was re-created in collaboration with Jermaine Dupri.
Chingys fourth album followed in 2007, but after all the albums had reached the Top 10 before the U.S. album charts, Hate It Or Love It disappointed with room 89 The single from the album Fly Like Me along with Amerie reached only rear chart ranks. International pushed the album barely on resonance.
