Chirine Njeim

Chirine Njeim ( born October 4, 1984 in Beirut ) is a Lebanese alpine skier.

Career

Njeim was born as the daughter of a merchant for chemical products. With the alpine skiing began at the age of three years. As a young girl she moved for a few years to train to France and finally to Salt Lake City, where she attended the Rowmark Ski Academy.

From 1999 she contested in the United States' first FIS races. In 2002, she participated in Salt Lake City as the second woman after Farida Rahmed for Lebanon at the Olympic Winter Games and was part of the opening ceremony flag bearer of the delegation.

Due to stable performance in the race for the Nor- Am Cup, where 2005 and 2006 seven times she went in the years in the top ten, she qualified for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.

In 2009, she was reported for the world championship, but was not at the start.
