Chocieszów

Chocieszów ( German Stolzenau ) is a village in the powiat Kłodzki in Lower Silesia. It is located nine kilometers north-west of Duszniki Zdrój and belongs to the municipality Szczytna.

Geography

Chocieszów lies at the eastern foot of the Table Mountains. Neighboring towns are Wambierzyce and Raszków in the north, and Suszyna Kopanka ( Agnes field) in the Northeast, Niwa in the east, and Wolany Polanica Gorna the southeast, Borek in the south and Studzienna (cold Brunn ) in the west. To the north lies the 435 m high mountain hop ( Bogatka ).

History

In a document from 1538, the town was referred to as Wait man village. In 1583 it was renamed the Stolzenau to the then owner of Mathes pride. It was gepfarrt to the church in Reichenau and belonged to Glatzer country with which it shared the story of his political and religious affiliation from the beginning. Through its affiliation with the rule Upper Wallisfurth the owners or ownership of Stolzenau with the local were identical.

After the Silesian Wars Stolzenau came together with the county of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg to Prussia. For the year 1796 are shown: a water mill, eight farmers and 48 gardeners and cottagers.

After the reorganization of Prussia Stolzenau belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was from 1816 to 1945 the county Glatz incorporated. It formed its own rural community and belonged to the district of Wallisfurth. Due to its location in the foothills of Table Mountains, the place became from the early 20th century, a popular tourist destination. 1939 counted 765 inhabitants. As a result of the Second World War, it fell in 1945 as the whole of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Chocieszów. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced persons from eastern Poland. The number of inhabitants declined significantly and was in the 1980s about 280 from 1975 to 1998 belonged to Chocieszów Voivodeship Wałbrzych.

Kaltbrunn / Studzienna

Cold Brunn was first mentioned in 1571 and belonged to the parish Albendorf. It consisted of a few houses and three units that were part of the dominions albums, Upper Wallisfurth and Pish Schukowitzgasse. Together with the defunct Rolling place it belonged to the rural community Stolzenau. 1939 counted 225 inhabitants. 1945, it was renamed in Studzienna. In the 1980s, the population was 26
