Choice one eCommerce - Initiative for diversity and innovation in online trading is an initiative of online retailers that works to Europe for unrestricted trade and innovation. Spokesman for the initiative is Oliver Prothmann.

History

Choice in e-commerce was founded on May 8, 2013 several online retailers in Berlin. The event was held, one-sided view of the initiative, sales bans and marketing restrictions by individual manufacturers. The dealer would so often cut off from their main sales channel and thus deprived them the opportunity to use online platforms like Amazon, Ebay or Rakuten in a competitive market for the benefit of customers. Sales of all products and services traded online in Europe was in 2012 at 311.6 billion euros. Through online trading in Europe is estimated that up to two million jobs were created.

In the summer of 2013, therefore, Choice started in e-commerce a call to a petition calling for free and fair trade. On December 17, 2013 Oliver Prothmann handed over the petition with more than 14,000 signatures from online retailers from across Europe in Brussels, Olli Rehn, Vice - President of the European Commission. The petition calls for manufacturers and brand owners to to refrain from trade restrictions or prohibitions for online retailers. The Federal Cartel Office currently being investigated in two cases, clauses, which are used by manufacturers and limit the online sales for retailers.
