Cholatse

The Cholatse, also called Jobo Lhaptshan, is a six-thousand in the Nepalese Himalaya the Himalayas in Nepal. He is with the Taboche ( 6501 m) connected by a long mountain ridge. The Chola glacier flows from the eastern flank of the mountain. The name of the mountain derives from its location above the Chola Lake ( Chola Tsho ).

The first ascent of Cholatse succeeded on April 22, 1982 Vern Clevenger, Galen Rowell, John Roskelley and Bill O'Connor on the southwest flank. The north side was first climbed in 1984.
