Chouzé-sur-Loire

Chouzé -sur -Loire is a commune with 2107 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Indre- et- Loire in the Centre region; it belongs to the district of Chinon and Bourgueil to the canton. The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park Loire -Anjou- Touraine.

History

The brothers Lovo and Rahier 1050 Chozacum gave the Abbey Bourgueil. King Francis I gave Chozacius the rank of a city. The term Chouzé occurs the first time in Cassini map of France from the 18th century.
