Chris Atkinson

Christopher " Chris " Atkinson ( born November 30, 1979 in Bega, Australia) is an Australian rally driver.

Atkinson won the 2003 and 2004 his first two titles in the FIA Asia- Pacific Super 1600 series. In 2004 he was at the Rally New Zealand WRC his debut for the Subaru works team. From 2005 he started as a regular driver for Subaru WRT addition to the team number one Petter Solberg. Atkinson's best ever placement were the two 2nd places in the overall result of the rallies in Mexico and Argentina in 2008.

2009 saw Atkinson to the withdrawal of Subaru from the World Cup for the Citroën Junior Team newly formed at a Citroën C4 WRC. There, he was a team -mate of Conrad Rautenbach, Sébastien Ogier and Evgeny Novikov.

After Atkinson 2012 a cameo appearance in the WRC race in Mexico in the Monster World Rally Team played alongside Ken Block and was seen in the Citroën DS3 WRC for the Qatar World Rally Team at Rally Finland, he returned as a permanent driver for the team MINI Portugal WRC back. He replaced the factory driver Armindo Araujo there for the last 5 rounds of the WRC in 2012.
