Chris Beutler

Chris Beutler ( born November 14, 1944) is an American politician (Democratic Party).

He sat from 1978 to 1986 and again from 1990 as the representative of the 28th district of Central Lincoln as a senator in the Nebraska Legislature. He was reelected in 1982, 1994, 1998 and 2002. Since 2007 he is the reigning 51st mayor of Lincoln, Nebraska. He prevailed with 51 percent of the vote against Republican Ken Svoboda and thus succeeds no longer candidates Coleen Seng.
