Chris Cheney

Chris Cheney ( born January 2, 1975 in Melbourne) is an Australian guitarist and frontman of Australian rock band The Living End.

Life

Cheney visited the Jells Park Primary School in Wheelers Hill in Melbourne, Australia, and the Wheelers Hill Secondary College. Later he studied jazz.

Career

Cheney's career began in the 1990s in the cover band The Runaway Boys from Melbourne, where he played with bassist Scott Owen.

The Living End

1994 produced Cheney and Owen their own songs. They founded The Living End and published after two EPs in 1998 their eponymous debut album, the single Second Solution / Prisoner of Society brought them their first success.

This and That

On December 17, 2005 Chris Cheney played on stage at the Telstra Dome, along with Green Day song I Fought For Law, who comes from Sonny Curtis of The Crickets, and was later covered by The Clash.

2003 Chris Cheney played in the Australian rock veterans You Am I on the Big Day Out festival in Melbourne a song by The Clash as a tribute to Joe Strummer.

His guitar is a Gretsch White Falcon.
