Chris Douglas ( * August 4, 1974 ), known under the pseudonyms OST, Vallade Rook, Rook Valard and Dalglish, is an American musician and DJ.

Music

The Californian musician Chris Douglas came after seven years of musical activities in 2004 for the first time to Europe, and at the invitation of Autechre when they were committed for the programmation of the All Tomorrow's Parties Festival in 2004.

To settle at the intersections of contemporary electronic music IDM, Industrial and musique concrète, diving his works on labels like Plug Research, Polyrhythmic, Diskono and Worm Interface at the side of the likes of Boards of Canada and Autechre as well as on their own label Qlipothic, on which he released his debut Seimlste.

In Japanese singer Coppe and the jazz musician Jacob Berliner by choice has found like-minded people and produced with them the album " Ubik ". His Qlipothic - first- Seimlste let Douglas by artists such as Autechre, pita, Merzbow, Stephan Mathieu remix.

Other Projects

Together with Mike Donovan Chris Douglas published in 2000, the EP " Brisbane Cats" under the band name " The Church Steps" on the label " Static Caravan ". The joint track " Cal / Kearn ", appeared on the Japanese label "Contact Records " on the compilation " U.S. Pop Life Vol 11 / Looking For The Perfect Glass: California Post Punk ", on among others, the then-unknown band 's " "and" Camera Obscura " were heard! .
