Chris Fydler

Christopher " Chris " John Fydler ( born November 8, 1972 in Sydney, New South Wales ) is an Australian former swimmer, who celebrated his greatest successes in the Freestyle and Medley relays.

Chris Fydler won his first international medals at the World Swimming Championships 1998 in Perth. There he won the 4x100 -meter medley relay and won a silver medal in the 4x100 -meter freestyle relay. In the Short Course World Championships in Hong Kong in 1999, he won both gold in the 4x100 -meter freestyle and the 4x100 -meter medley relay. Fydler participated in his hometown of Sydney at the Summer Olympic Games in 1992, 1996 and 2000. At his last appearance, he won, together with Ian Thorpe, Michael Klim and Ashley Callus, in a new world record time of gold in the 4x100m Freisilstaffel.
