Chris VandeVelde

Chris Vandevelde ( born March 15, 1987 in Moorhead, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player standing since 2010 with the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League under contract and playing in parallel for their farm team Oklahoma City Barons in the American Hockey League.

Career

Chris Vandevelde began his career as a hockey player with the Lincoln Stars, for which he was active from 2004 to 2006 the Junior League United States Hockey League. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2005 in the fourth round as a total of 97 players from the Edmonton Oilers. First, however, he attended from 2006 to 2010, the University of North Dakota, for their hockey team he played in parallel in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. With his University of team he won the 2010 Broadmoor Trophy. In addition, he was even elected to the All- Academic Team of the WCHA.
