Chris White (musician)

Chris White ( born March 7, 1943 in Barnet, London, as Christopher Taylor White ) is an English rock musician (bass, vocals), songwriter and music producer. He was known primarily as a member of the band The Zombies.

Biography

Born in Barnet, a city district of London, White grew up in Markyate, where his parents had a shop.

As a bassist of White Zombie Rod Argent was next to one of the two songwriters of the group. To the soundtrack of the film Bunny Lake is Missing (1965 ) he wrote two pieces, Nothings Changed, and Remember You. Originally recorded in 1965 by the zombies His song I Love You, 1968 was a hit for the band People!.

After the dissolution of the zombies in 1968 wrote and produced material for Colin Blunstone White and Rod Argent for new band Argent. With Rod Argent together he wrote the hit Argent Hold Your Head Up, Course 5, both in England and in America.

Later, White was working as A & R manager. With his brother Matthew White, he formed the band White Circle. In 1990 there was a brief Wiedervereining of some of the original Zombies members, including white. As of 2008, the surviving great- zombies reappeared together.
