Christian Meyer (ski jumper)

Christian Meyer (* October 22, 1977 ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Meyer started in 1993 in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup, before February 8, first time in 1997 in Kulm denied by good performances there in the 1996/97 season with the Ski Flying World Cup jumping in the Ski Jumping World Cup. Here, in both jumping with the 28th and 30th place, he managed to win the World Cup points. In the following years, he repeatedly succeeded the profit of World Cup points. His most successful season 1998/99 he finished on the 31st place in the World Cup overall standings. He was able to achieve in Zakopane on January 16, 1999, the single best result of his career in the World Cup. In the Norwegian Championship 1999 in Raufoss he also won silver on the normal hill. On January 31, 1999 Meyer denied in Willingen his last World Cup competition and then moved back exclusively back in the Continental Cup.

In the Norwegian Championship 2003 in Høydalsmo he managed together with Håvard Lie, Petter Tande and Morten Solem in the team competition winning the gold medal. After the 2003/ 04 season, Meyer ended his ski jumping career. Since 1 May 2006, he is assistant coach of the junior national team.

Since 1995, Meyer has a relationship with the Norwegian Handball national team Elisabeth Hilmo. 2011 married the couple who have two children together.
